Happy Hallowe'en!
Post-Wilma took a lot of the spark out of my favorite holiday this year, with most municipalities asking that children trick-or-treat during the day, and be safely tucked away after dark. I still picked up a bag on Tootsie Pops, just in case, but I confess that the idea of opening the door on darkness alone tonight causes me a bit of unease.
In the spirit of the holiday, though, here's a little bit of festivity. I hope you enjoy it.
It hasn't been updated to include my latest additions, but if you haven't seen my antique Hallowe'en postcards yet, they are new to you.
In a newer vein (hah hah), here are some graveyard photos I've taken. I rushed the slideshow, so I hope it works.
Lastly for this year I have a clever and fun little Gothic tarantella, words and music by Neil Gaiman, and performed by the talented and beautiful Lorraine A' Malena: Post Mortem on Our Love. I've been listening to their CD since it arrived Friday (power permitting), and it is really quite nice, if you like Irish folk and/or moody goth-y acoustic stuff. Oh, and it has a few other songs by that Gaiman fellow, too. Help support them and pick up a copy of the CD, why don't you?
And now I'm off to try and get home before darkness falls. Happy Hallowe'en to all you ghosts and goblins.

The tombstone photos are wonderful. Geez, the Boston details seriously were making my skin crawl--good end to the night!
