On my way to work each day I pass Miami's Federal Detention Center.

The construction fence across the street from the facility is clearly visible from many of the cells, making it ideally positioned for families to use to send messages to their loved ones inside.

Hand drawn or professionally printed on poster board, pizza boxes, or pillow cases, or just written in blue masking tape on the sidewalk, the emotions are obvious and painful.
