A new year
The conditions weren't the best for the traditional sunrise at the beach. There was a thick layer of fog, sticking to everything and playing tricks with the light. It wasn't as cold as usual, though, as was evidenced by a large group of revelers just south of me. And once the sun finally came up, it was hidden behind a thick layer of clouds.
A half-hour before sunrise.
Too many things were on my mind to make it as cleansing a moment as I would have liked. I was not happy with the quality of the photos I was taking, my mind kept wandering to work, and I never managed to relax, even for a moment. I'm still glad, though, that I kept the tradition alive for another year.
Finally, sunrise.
I wish you and yours a happy, healthy, and adventurous new year!

That sunrise picture came out okay. Even got a couple birds in there.
Best wishes in 2006!
feliz ano nuevo!
Kevin, Dave and I are sitting here on the couch laughing at the "chrome dome with the tripod in the sand" comment from the previous post. Hee hee. Very cool and we wish you a very exciting and fulfilling year, filled with things like the presents we have yet to mail... : /
You're the best.
Hell. We made another year. Who'da thunk it?
