Books in my blood
Everyone who reads can think of certain books that that managed to get under their skin, those books and stories that changed them in some way. I have a list of them, and I imagine many of you do, as well.
Some time ago I started writing about them, and now, after a three year hiatus, I'm going to finish the job. To get started, here are the first three books books in my blood. What are yours?

Pride & Prejudice
Something Wicked This Way Comes
The Little Princess
Dune
A Natural History of the Senses
Well...there ARE others. But that's a start. :)
i'll post a list soon.
* Something Wicked This Way Comes (thanx to you, Kev). There's one particular scene that I can read over and over and over again. And I always get goose-bumps.
* A Clockwork Orange for the linguistic challenge, reading it without referring to the added glossary. * Catch-22 because of it irreverence. * Neverwhere, because it more formally introduced me to Gaimin (I'd read that one issue of Sandman...) *Leonard Maltin's
Of Mice and Magic : A History of American Animated Cartoon. Wow. What I didn't know about the history of one of my favorite media...
Someone just recommended a Tom Robbins book to me yesterday. I wonder if this is a sign... Or if it's just a figment of my imagination. Please keep on with the project. I'm intrigued.
Oh this is a great project, and I cannot wait to read the rest. (and I love the fact you have a Tom Robbins book on your list)
My first three are:
1. Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins
2. Exquiste Corpse - Poppy Z. Brite
3. Islands in the Stream -Ernest Hemmingway
I might have to write something about them as well.
