The only thing worse than being extremely stressed out about work is to be sick while you are stressed out about work. And the only thing worse than that is to be sick, stressed out, and have a skull-popper of a sinus headache to boot.
So instead of running the risk of screwing up work activities I have converted some additional photo galleries for the site. Alongside this — and in defiance of my throbbing brain — I enabled permalinks for the galleries.
The photo sets now include: Sunrise at Haulover Beach (2003, 2005, 2006); the Coral Castle; Vizcaya; the Everglades; the Deering Estate; my family's farm in Kentucky; a lunar eclipse; Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden (at night, an orchid show; with Chihuly glass, and with Chihuly glass at night); graveyards and cemeteries; Chicago architecture; DC peace march; and Hurricane Wilma.
I want to point out that — as if there was any doubt — I am not exactly a wizard with Flash. These galleries are created with a combination of Google's Picasa photo management tool, and a brilliant Macromedia Flash component called SlideShowPro, by Todd Dominey. There's still a fair amount of massaging that goes into pulling it all together, but all the hard stuff is done by those tools.
Actual photos aside, does anyone have any comments about the way the galleries work? Do you like them, hate them, think Flash is the multimedia tool of the devil, anything?

Dude, do you realize how many posts you've made in the past three years where you refer to work, how stressful work is, how much work sucks (okay, maybe you haven't said it THAT overtly)? Perhaps you should get your resume together already...
You are right, I'm whining too much. No further work-related comments will be made. Regular readers may safely assume that if I don't post for a week, I have a good reason.
Folks: Having known our host for so long, I can assure you that he would probably stress out about any job. "Damn! I think I left the french fires in too long!" And I assume that it's the stress that's keeping you sick, Kev. Stop caring so much. They don't deserve it!
