Under the sea
I recently came across the NOAA Ocean Explorer site. Floridians know NOAA primarily for the "atmospheric" part of their name, so it's cool to see what the "oceanographic" side of the organization is doing.
They undertake undersea research expeditions, and their site is a terrific educational tool, filled with easy to understand explanations and marvelous photos. It's a great example of how a scientific agency agency can use the web to enlighten the public and provide a publc service, too. Well, if you like cool pictures of lost cities and jaguar sharks, that is.

Who doesn't like pictures of lost cities? Are they still lost after you take their picture?
Any web-footed humanoids?
Kevin, thank you for showing me this little bit of wonder. I was sorely in need of it. Nature really is splendid, isn't it?
