Duly noted
As a follow-up to an earlier post, I am finding the Google Notebook to be an indispensable tool for research. With the Firefox plug-ins installed I can capture text and images from any page, jot down a quick note to myself, and then save the information to a private notebook accessible from anywhere with Internet access.
I don't think that the idea of publicly accessible Google notebooks is going to catch on, though. It is just a simpler version of a blogging tool, without any design involved. The primary advantage to it would be the integration of search capabilities via Google, enabling someone to find all your notes on a particular topic in one place, but I don't think that's enough to make it popular. If you have an audience, you want a stronger association with your name than a bit of text at the top of the page.
For me, it's making it much easier to gather together a bunch of notes and references for an essay in one place during the research phase. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Agreed. I've been using it since it's intro and find it extremely useful to store hot links to URL's of interest.
Damn . . . google adds a new app every damned day. I just got accepted into Google Analytics, so looking forward to using that.
I sort of wish they'd let you log in and see a menu of the services you've signed up for, rather then doing a separate login for each area, but i'm sure it's on the way.
So you need to download something to use Notebook?
Somewhat related. This just in from Manola's bro, aka Mac guru:

Sounds just like jeteye.com - and per their "tour" - you can "decide who sees each of your Jetpaks: keep it private, share it with your contacts, or show it to the world."
