Summer in the City
Things are going to be slower even than is usual around here for a few weeks. The summer heat always makes me lethargic, and yet my schedules and projects have no respect for this simple fact of Florida life. So, we shall soldier bravely on in the face of mosquitoes and storms and humidity and doctor visits and an increasingly tense work environment and misbehaving cats. No vacations planned, though; no rest for the wicked.
In the interim, I've been satiating my Internet jonesing with brief and disposable fragments. The miracle combination of Google, my Samsung phone, and unlimited cellular data access allows me to check my Gmail and Google Calendar on my phone, which is a good thing. Many other web services have mobile components, like Twitter, Flickr, and — the newest stop on my foray into trendiness — Facebook, so while I may not be at my computer as often as I might like, at least I won't lose touch. I may not say anything worth reading, mind you, but I'll still be connected.
