"...but the snow's so beautiful..."
While I wrap up a few (thousand) loose ends at work in the hope of getting a half-day off before Christmas, please enjoy this music video of Over the Rhine's "All I Ever Get for Christmas is Blue." I chanced across it a couple of weeks ago, bought the album immediately, and it's been on heavy rotation in my brain ever since. I'm looking forward to hearing more of their music once things calm down a bit.
And on that note, I'll be back as soon as I get my name a little closer to the "nice" side of the big guy's list.

Hello, dear. Over the Rhine is a Cincinnati group, though they're now mainly a husband-and-wife team (two of the original members departed long ago). I have such fond memories of seeing them when they were just starting out, playing candlelit shows at Cincy's Sudsy Malones with one or another of my illicit boyfriends.
Pick up 'Til We Have Faces. It's a good'un.
